An ectopic pregnancy is a medical condition in which a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus, most commonly in a fallopian tube. This can lead to serious health risks for the mother, as the growing tissue can cause the tube to rupture, leading to internal bleeding.
